I trained and qualified in Humanistic Psychotherapy at the University of Brighton. This approach is still at the core of my practice. But cruciailly, I work experientially. This means that therapy is not just about understanding why we feel the way we do, it involves understanding this in a very particular way that enables change to happen.
Alongside my private practice, I work at a counselling service in Lewes providing therapy for people on low incomes who would not otherwise be able to afford individual therapy.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. This is a guarantee that I have reached a certain level of qualification, experience and proficiency to practice. You can find details of my membership here.
Prior to that, I worked in commercial organisations and businesses as a software developer.
And before that, I studied Philosophy at the University of Sussex.
